| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of the Republic of Palau centrally positioned within the pig-shaped flan, depicting a traditional Palauan fisherman in a canoe above a shield bearing a full moon over the sea with a figure holding a trident. The shield is flanked by decorative scrollwork and surrounded by six five-pointed stars.
