| Obverse description | A fully armoured knight standing in three-quarter view occupies the central field, wearing a crested morion helmet and a billowing cape, and resting one hand atop a heraldic shield charged with a rampant lion. The knight holds a sword or sceptre in the other hand, evoking the iconography of the classical Dutch Lion Dollar. To the lower right, a circular privy cartouche bears the arms of the Royal Dutch Mint surmounted by the date 2025. The peripheral legend, separated by dot stops and a beaded inner border, reads · ASCENSION · ISLAND · 1 · DOLLAR · 2025, with the engraver's initials JC appearing in the lower field. |
