| Obverse description | The arms of the Republic of Liberia occupy the central field, depicting a three-masted sailing ship at sea, a palm tree with a rising sun, and a dove in flight, all within a shield surmounted by a scroll bearing the national motto THE LOVE OF LIBERTY BROUGHT US HERE.
