| Obverse description | Central device depicts a palm tree, a dromedary camel, and a traditional dhow sailing upon stylized waves, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. A three-part legend in Tigrinya (Ge'ez script), English, and Arabic appears in the outer border, reading 'ERITREA' in each respective language, separated by five-pointed star ornaments.
