Reverse description The classic Voyageur dollar design rendered in large format with selective gold plating, depicting a birchbark canoe laden with cargo paddled by two voyageurs across a calm body of water, with a stylized Indigenous spirit figure rising dramatically above the centre of the canoe in gold relief. The background field features an engraved pattern of vertical lines evoking the Northern Lights (aurora borealis). The legend CANADA arcs across the upper field, while DOLLAR appears along the lower periphery, with the date 2021 positioned in the lower centre above the denomination. The engraver's initials EH appear to the right of the canoe near the waterline. A beaded inner border frames the design.
