Reverse description The reverse features the iconic common loon (Gavia immer) in its classic swimming pose, as established on the Canadian circulation dollar, rendered with fine detail against a plain field. A security feature appears above the bird. The legend CANADA arcs along the upper periphery, while DOLLAR is inscribed at the lower field, flanked by the date 2023 and the mint mark RRC. The overall design follows the traditional loonie format introduced in 1987, here executed in proof-quality relief on the gold-plated silver planchet.
