| Obverse description | The obverse bears the fourth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by sculptor Susanna Blunt, depicting the Queen bare-headed and in profile facing right, wearing a necklace and earrings, as she appeared at approximately 77 years of age. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper periphery. Flanking the effigy are the dual commemorative dates 1952 and 2022, separated by four pearls representing the four distinct royal portraits that appeared on Canadian coinage throughout Her Majesty's reign. |
