| Obverse description | The sixth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as designed by Jody Clark, occupies the central field in right-facing profile. The Queen is depicted diademed and draped, wearing a pearl necklace and drop earrings, with her hair elaborately coiffed beneath a tiara. The encircling legend reads 'ELIZABETH II 1952 - 2022 AUSTRALIA 2023' with the denomination '1 DOLLAR' inscribed along the lower arc. The engraver's initials 'JC' appear discreetly at the base of the effigy's truncation. |

Issued as part of the Royal Australian Mint's long-running AFL club series, this coin marks the West Coast Eagles — a franchise that only entered the league in 1987 as part of the VFL's national expansion, yet claimed two premierships within its first decade. The 6th portrait of Elizabeth II, by sculptor Jody Clark, appears here on one of the final Australian coins struck under her effigy before her death in September 2022 made the series a quiet endpoint for a reign of over seventy years.
