Obverse description The sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by engraver Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting a right-facing draped bust of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl necklace with drop earrings. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field, flanked above by the regnal dates 1952 – 2022, while AUSTRALIA and the date 2023 arc along the right. The denomination 1 DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower field between two raised dots, and the engraver's initials JC appear discreetly below the truncation.
