| Obverse description | The sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as sculpted by Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting a right-facing draped bust of the monarch adorned with the George IV State Diadem, drop earrings, and a pearl necklace. The circumferential legend reads ELIZABETH II 1952 – 2022 to the upper left and AUSTRALIA 2024 to the right, with the denomination 1 DOLLAR inscribed along the lower rim. Two raised dots flank the legend as decorative separators. The engraver's initials JC appear discreetly below the truncation of the bust at lower left. |
