Obverse description The sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as sculpted by Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting a right-facing crowned and draped bust of the Queen wearing drop earrings and a pearl necklace. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail in the crown and hair. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper left rim, accompanied by the regnal dates 1952 - 2022, while AUSTRALIA and the date 2023 arc along the upper right. The denomination 1 DOLLAR is inscribed along the lower rim, flanked by two raised dots. The engraver's initials JC appear on the truncation.
