| Reverse description | The reverse depicts the AFL Women's Premiership Cup rendered in high relief at centre, shown with decorative ribbon streamers cascading from its handles and set against a backdrop of stylised Australian rules football goal posts. In the lower half of the field, the distinctive AFLW logo — a bold stylised letter 'W' — appears in applied colour, rendered in red and silver tones. The curved peripheral legend 2023 AFLW PREMIERSHIP SEASON arcs along the upper rim, while additional inscriptions AFL WOMENS 2023 PREMIERSHIP CUP appear on the body of the trophy itself. |

| Additional information |
The AFL Women's competition, launched in 2017, took less than a decade to earn its own commemorative coinage — a measure of how rapidly the league forced its way into the mainstream of Australian sport. The colored finish is applied post-strike at the RAM's Canberra facility, a process that adds no additional metal layer but requires the planchet surface to be exceptionally clean prior to striking.
