| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Palau rendered in raised relief at center, depicting a traditional outrigger canoe above a shield supported by two marine deities — a trident-bearing Neptune-like figure to the left and a seated female figure to the right — framed by an ornamental border. Eight five-pointed stars are arranged in an arc around the shield, flanking the central device.
