| Obverse description | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Palau at centre, depicting a crowned Neptune figure holding a trident seated alongside a mermaid within a shield, surmounted by a traditional outrigger canoe. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU arcs along the upper periphery, flanked by six five-pointed stars arranged symmetrically on either side. The motto RAINBOW'S END appears within the lower portion of the shield. The denomination 1$ is inscribed in the lower field beneath the shield. |
