| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the third portrait by Raphael David Maklouf, depicted wearing the George IV State Diadem with pearl drop earrings and a necklace. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed vertically along the left rim, NIUE arcs across the upper field, and ONE DOLLAR is inscribed vertically along the right rim. The date 2011 appears in the lower exergue, and a beaded border encircles the entire obverse. The coin surface is gold-plated, giving the portrait a warm, lustrous appearance. |
