| Reverse description | A coiled snake rendered in high relief occupies the central and border field, its scaled body forming a near-complete ring around the interior design. At the centre, a coloured tableau depicts symbols of wisdom: a gilt abacus adorned with a dragon finial, an open scroll, a pyramid, a quill pen, and an ornate lantern or chalice. The Chinese character 蛇 (snake) appears within a cartouche at the top of the field. The legend WISDOM arcs along the upper right, the Perth Mint privy mark P appears to its lower right, and the inscription 2013 YEAR OF THE SNAKE curves along the lower border. |
