Reverse description A highly detailed depiction of the Victoria Cross medal occupies the central field, rendered with selective 24-karat gold plating against the mirror-polished silver ground. The cross pattée is suspended by a ring from a bar ornamented with a laurel branch motif. At the centre of the cross, a circular medallion bears a crowned lion statant guardant above a crown, encircled by a wreath. The inscription PRO VALORE appears on a scroll within the medallion. The legends CANADA to the left and DOLLAR to the right arc vertically along the periphery, with the date 2006 in the lower exergue, all within a beaded border.
