Additional information

The "Red Flag Fleet" refers to the confederation of pirates operating under Zheng Yi Sao in the South China Sea during the early nineteenth century — at its peak commanding somewhere between 1,500 and 1,800 vessels and tens of thousands of fighters, making it arguably the largest pirate organization in recorded history. Zheng Yi Sao took command after her husband's death in 1807 and negotiated a formal amnesty with the Qing government in 1810, retiring on her own terms with her fleet largely intact.

Tuvalu has issued extensively under Australian firm NGC-affiliated bullion programs targeting the collector market rather than domestic circulation.
