Obverse description Right-facing diademed and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley after his fourth definitive effigy, occupying the central field. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the left periphery and 1 DOLLAR along the upper arc, with COOK ISLANDS along the right periphery. The date 2014 appears in the lower field beneath the truncation, and the engraver's initials IRB are incused at the base of the neck. The portrait is rendered in high relief against a deeply mirrored proof field.
