Reverse description Cross-shaped flan featuring a full-length depiction of the Szczerbiec, the historic coronation sword of Polish kings, rendered in gold-colored relief and positioned vertically along the central axis of the cross. The ornately decorated gold pommel and crossguard, with intricately engraved knotwork patterns, fill the upper and horizontal arms respectively. The blade carries engraved Latin inscriptions referencing Polish rulers. At the base of the sword, a polychrome enameled shield bearing the white Piast Eagle on a red field is prominently displayed. The black-enameled background in the upper arm of the cross contrasts with the silver field, and the legend SZCZERBIEC is inscribed vertically along the right side of the upper arm.
