Obverse description The effigy of Queen Elizabeth II wearing a tiara occupies the upper portion of the obverse field. Superimposed in the central area is a sculptural depiction of Anteros, modeled after the Alfred Gilbert memorial figure at Piccadilly Circus, London, commonly known as the Angel of Christian Charity. Anteros, the divine avenger of scorned love and the god of requited affection, is rendered in fine relief against the coin's polished field. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II NIUE ISLAND 1 DOLLAR 2010, with the Mint of Poland mintmark 'mw' also present.
