Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed gold-plated engraving of the RMS Carpathia depicted in profile at centre, with billowing steam rising from its single funnel and a large iceberg rendered in colour to the left of the vessel. In the lower field, two lifeboats crowded with survivors are shown approaching the rescue ship, with additional floating debris and ice visible in the background. The curved legend CARPATHIA RESCUE 4.10 AM 15 APRIL 1912 arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscriptions RMS TITANIC and CENTENARY appear in the lower field, separated by a small coloured rendering of the White Star Line pennant in red and white.
