| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within a raised central disc surrounded by a polished outer border adorned with a continuous ring of raised beads. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs along the upper left field and 'NIUE ISLAND' along the upper right, both in raised Latin characters.
