Obverse description The obverse of this fan-shaped annular sector coin features the fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted in right-facing profile with a tiara and draped bust. The portrait is centrally positioned within the arc-shaped field, with the legend '~ ELIZABETH II ~ COOK ISLANDS ~' arcing along the outer border and 'ONE DOLLAR' flanking the effigy in large raised lettering. Below the portrait, the inscriptions '1/2 oz' and '999 silver' appear in the lower field, confirming the coin's metallic composition. The engraver's initials 'IRB' are visible beneath the truncation of the portrait. The entire design is rendered in proof-quality milled silver with a polished finish.
