Obverse description The obverse presents a richly detailed antiqued silver field depicting a dramatic apocalyptic scene in high relief, inspired by medieval illuminated manuscript imagery. A central mounted figure, rendered with applied polychrome coloring in golden-ochre tones, rides a pale horse at full gallop across a turbulent landscape, one arm raised aloft. In the upper right corner, a winged angelic figure holding a scythe is depicted in uncolored relief against a mountainous background. The lower register features a multifigure scene in lower relief showing fallen or prostrate figures. The legend NIUE ISLAND · ELIZABETH II · 1 DOLLAR 2012 is inscribed along the left and upper borders of the square-format flan, with the diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after Maklouf positioned in the upper left corner.

Reverse description The reverse of this antiqued silver sector-shaped coin depicts an elaborate apocalyptic tableau rendered in high relief, drawn from the imagery of the Book of Revelation. A colorized rider on a pale horse dominates the central field, the figure and mount executed in warm golden-ochre polychrome coloring, galloping dynamically across the composition. In the upper right, a winged creature holding a scythe is depicted in uncolored relief. The lower portion of the field shows a densely composed scene of prostrate and struggling figures in lower relief, evoking scenes of tribulation. The inscriptions APOCALIPSIS and Ag 925 appear in the upper left of the field, confirming the series title and silver fineness.
