| Obverse description | The obverse features the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the engraver's initials IRB visible at the truncation of the neck. The portrait occupies the right-centre field, set against a highly polished mirror background. Surrounding the effigy in the left and lower fields are detailed engravings of Tesla's mechanical patent diagrams, rendered in a technical blueprint style with figure references (Fig. 1, Fig. 6, Fig. 7) and component labels. The vertical legend '1 DOLLAR NIUE ISLAND' appears to the left of the portrait, while 'ELIZABETH II' and the date '2020' are inscribed in the lower field.
