Obverse description Diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, after the design by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the left portion of the oval field, with the engraver's initials IRB visible below the truncation. To the right, a finely detailed architectural rendering of a neoclassical building with a columned portico dominates the field, rendered in high relief against a polished mirror background. The denomination '1 DOLLAR' is inscribed in raised letters along the upper arc of the oval. Along the lower arc, the legend 'ELIZABETH II NIUE ISLAND 2014' is inscribed, with the silver fineness notation 'Ag 999' incorporated into the legend.

Reverse description Facing conjoined portrait busts of Maria Walewska and Napoleon Bonaparte set within an ornate oval cartouche, rendered as a color-inlaid cameo-style depiction against an intricate scrollwork and foliate background in the field. Maria Walewska is shown to the left, wearing a low-cut dark gown with a pearl necklace and flowers in her hair, while Napoleon Bonaparte appears to the right in his imperial military uniform adorned with medals and decorations. Elaborate silver acanthus scrollwork frames the portraits on both sides. A red Swarovski crystal element is set at the lower center of the composition. The names 'Maria Walewska' and 'Napoleon Bonaparte' are inscribed in italic script along the lower left and lower right arcs respectively.
