Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as a young woman, depicted at approximately 37 years of age, wearing a diadem tiara. The portrait, engraved by Patrick Brindley, presents a refined bust with the Queen in a composed, formal style characteristic of mid-twentieth-century Commonwealth coinage. The legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA arcs along the upper periphery of the coin, identifying the monarch by name and royal title. The field is plain, with no additional ornamental devices flanking the effigy.
