| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the third portrait by Raphael Maklouf, depicting the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and drop earring. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left field and COOK ISLANDS along the right, both in raised Latin lettering within a beaded border. Lei Heng is one of the 108 heroes of the Shuihu Zhuan — the 14th-century Chinese novel known in English as Water Margin — and Cook Islands issued a substantial series of silver dollars in the early 2000s working through that roster. The series was produced for the collector market and saw no circulation whatsoever.
