One of several issues in Perth Mint's James Bond series, this coin marks Roger Moore's seven appearances as Bond between 1973 and 1985 — more than any other actor in the role. Moore's tenure coincided with the franchise's most commercially dominant decade, a run that began with Live and Let Die and ended with A View to a Kill. The licensing arrangements between the Eon Productions estate and sovereign mints have made Bond one of the most extensively monetized film franchises in numismatic history.
