Obverse lettering ELIZABETH II 1 DOLLAR FIJI 2012
Reverse description The reverse displays a richly coloured and partially gilt reproduction of the ancient Egyptian Eye of Horus (Wedjat), rendered in full colour with 24-carat gold gilding highlighting its characteristic decorative elements, including the stylised falcon markings and cosmetic extensions. The central motif is set against a background of incuse hieroglyphic inscriptions evoking the stonework of an Egyptian temple wall. The encircling legend names the subject in four languages: 'EGYPT', 'ÄGYPTEN', 'EGIPTO', and 'ÉGYPTE', separated by small decorative hieroglyphic symbols along the lower periphery.
