Reverse description A detailed, partially coloured depiction of the legendary London and North Eastern Railway locomotive Flying Scotsman (No. 4472) in three-quarter perspective, rendered in high relief and shown in motion with billowing steam. The LNER tender is visible behind the engine, and a stone railway viaduct with a rolling green landscape appears in the colorized background. The legend FLYING SCOTSMAN arcs along the upper field, flanked by the denomination $1 to the upper right and the fineness notation 1oz. 999 SILVER to the upper left. The Perth Mint privy mark P appears at the lower left, with the engraver's initials RV at the lower right.
