Obverse description Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted with a diadem and wearing a necklace, set within the center of the rectangular coin field. The surrounding legend arcs along the left and right margins, reading 'QUEEN ELIZABETH II' at top, with the weight and fineness designation '1oz 9999 AG' inscribed to the left, and 'TUVALU 1 DOLLAR' to the right. The year of issue '2019' appears along the lower left arc, and the designer's initials 'IRB' are present below the truncation of the portrait. The coin has rounded rectangular corners consistent with its bar-style format.

Additional information

Duff Beer is the fictional brew consumed by Homer Simpson, and this licensed release was issued under agreement with 20th Century Fox — one of several pop-culture silver rounds the Perth Mint produced during this period as collectibles rather than circulating currency. The legal tender denomination is nominal; these were never intended for commerce.

Perth Mint's .9999 fine silver specification here exceeds the .999 floor common to most bullion rounds, a minor but consistent house standard on their licensed issues.
