| Reverse description | The reverse presents a finely detailed proof rendering of the historic King Edward's Chair, the ancient coronation throne housed in Westminster Abbey, shown in three-quarter perspective within an arched Gothic arcade. The chair's characteristic high back with Gothic tracery panels and stepped base are rendered in sharp frosted relief against a mirror-polished field. Three heraldic lion supporters are depicted at the base of the throne, faithfully reproducing the medieval sculpture. The legend KORUNOVAČNÍ KŘESLO arcs along the left rim and KRÁLE EDUARDA along the right rim, both inscribed in Czech, with the engraver's initials Lk appearing in the lower right field. |
