| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the central field of the heart-shaped flan. The denomination ONE DOLLAR is divided across the field to either side of the portrait. The arched legend ELIZABETH II TOKELAU 2016, flanked by tilde ornaments, runs along the upper rim. The engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation, and the metallic specification Ag 20g 999 is inscribed in the lower field. |
