Reverse description The reverse presents a full-colour reproduction of prehistoric cave paintings from the Chauvet Cave in France, depicting a group of lions or large felines rendered in ochre, brown, and blue tones against a textured silver field evoking the natural rock surface of the cave wall. The composition faithfully replicates the famous Panel of Lions, one of the most celebrated Palaeolithic artworks, dated to approximately 30,000 BC. The inscription CAVE of CHAUVET appears at the upper right in a stylised, cave-art-influenced lettering, while CATS CA. 30,000 BC is inscribed along the lower field in the same style. The textured background enhances the impression of an ancient stone surface.
