| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara and a pearl earring, as rendered in the fourth definitive effigy sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley. The engraver's initials IRB appear below the truncation. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left periphery and NIUE along the upper field, with ONE DOLLAR disposed vertically along the right periphery. The date 2018 is placed in the lower field beneath the effigy. |
