| Obverse description | The sixth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, designed by Jody Clark, occupies the obverse field, depicting a right-facing crowned bust of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The portrait is rendered in fine relief in the contemporary style adopted by Commonwealth nations from 2015 onward. The legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2021 arcs around the upper periphery, with the engraver's initials JC appearing below the portrait truncation. |
