Reverse description The reverse features a bold capital letter E occupying the left portion of the field, with the humorous inquisitive head and neck of an emu emerging dynamically from the right side, rendered in a lively illustrative style with radiating speed lines conveying movement and curiosity. The emu's open beak and wide eye are depicted in fine detail against an uncluttered field. The word EMU appears as a small legend to the lower right of the central design, separated from the denomination by a horizontal line. The inscription ONE DOLLAR arcs along the lower periphery in bold lettering.
