| Obverse description | The sixth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II faces right, depicted wearing the King George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The portrait is executed in a refined sculptural style, with the legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2020 1 DOLLAR arcing around the periphery. The designer's initials JC appear in the lower field. The effigy was created by sculptor Jody Clark and was adopted for Australian coinage from 2019. |
