| Reverse description | Five kangaroos in dynamic motion fill the reverse field in a composition known as the 'Mob of Roos', originally designed by Stuart Devlin. The animals are depicted at various scales and angles, conveying movement and depth, with a large dominant kangaroo in the foreground facing right and four smaller kangaroos bounding behind it. The numeral '1' appears in the lower centre of the field, integrated into the design, with the word DOLLAR inscribed in bold letters to its right along the lower portion of the coin. The field is otherwise unadorned, allowing the sculptural relief of the kangaroos to dominate the composition. |
