The sixth and final portrait of Elizabeth II used on Australian coinage was sculpted by Claudia Chan and introduced in 2019 — the last such effigy approved before the Queen's death in September 2022. Unlike previous portrait updates, which typically rolled out across denominations over a year or more, adoption of the sixth portrait was uneven across the RAM's program, meaning coins from the same calendar year sometimes exist with either the fifth or sixth effigy depending on issue date.
