Obverse description The sixth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as sculpted by Jody Clark, is depicted in right-facing profile at the centre of the coin. The Queen is portrayed wearing the George IV State Diadem and a pearl necklace, with finely detailed hair curls rendered in high relief. The legend ELIZABETH II and AUSTRALIA arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 1 DOLLAR appears along the lower border, flanked by two raised pellets. The engraver's initials JC appear discreetly at the base of the portrait truncation.

Reverse description The reverse presents a highly detailed naturalistic composition featuring a large adult emu in the foreground, its shaggy plumage rendered with exceptional sculptural depth, facing right and occupying the majority of the field. A juvenile emu chick stands in the middle ground to the right, its smaller form providing a sense of scale and familial narrative. A stylised horizon line and a partial circular sun disc in the upper field evoke the Australian landscape. The legend AUSTRALIAN EMU arcs across the upper border, while the date 2022, the weight and fineness designation 1oz 9999 SILVER appear along the lower field. The Perth Mint's P mintmark is situated to the lower left, and the engraver's initials NH appear to the lower right of the design.
