Australia's 6th portrait of Elizabeth II — sculpted by Jody Clark and adopted by the Royal Australian Mint in 2019 — was itself a point of quiet controversy, with some collectors objecting that Clark's effigy aged the Queen too visibly compared to the fifth portrait it replaced. This Perth Mint issue commemorates her 95th birthday, reached in April 2021, making her the longest-lived British monarch on record. She died sixteen months later, in September 2022.
