| Reverse description | The reverse features a full-body coloured depiction of a pale cream horse standing in profile facing left, rendered in the style of Qing Dynasty court painting after the work of Giuseppe Castiglione (Lang Shining). The characters '獅子玉' (Lion Jade) appear in a vertical column to the lower left of the central equine figure. To the right of the horse, a vertical column of Chinese calligraphic text records the inscription's attribution to Lang Shining in the first month of spring of the Guihai year of the Qianlong era (1743). Two red imperial seal impressions appear in the upper field, and the Perth Mint 'P' mintmark is positioned at the lower centre of the coin. |
