| Mintage | 2019 - Proof in 26 Coin Set - 250 |
| Additional information |
The Great Aussie Coin Hunt was a Royal Australian Mint circulation program that released 26 lettered one-dollar coins — one for each letter of the alphabet — into general circulation in 2019, each paired with an Australian cultural theme. The silver proof version of "Z" (for "Z is for Zoo") was struck for collectors who wanted the full alphabet set in fine silver, a straightforward commercial parallel issue to the circulating base-metal originals.
KM#3653a distinguishes the silver proof from the copper-nickel circulation strike catalogued separately in the series.
