Obverse description The fourth effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, depicted wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The legend ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA 2007 surrounds the portrait, with the engraver's initials IRB appearing below the truncation of the bust.

Reverse description A selectively gold-gilt adult kangaroo standing upright and facing left, nuzzling a joey standing beside it in the centre field, set against a lightly engraved Australian bushland background featuring bare and sparse trees. The design was created by artist Rolf Harris, whose signature 'Rolf' appears in the lower right field. The denomination ONE DOLLAR arcs along the lower rim in bold relief, with the inscription ONE OUNCE FINE SILVER below it in smaller lettering.
