Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Queen Elizabeth II, depicting the fourth definitive portrait as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara with drop earrings visible. The engraver's initials IRB appear on the truncation of the neck. The peripheral legend reads ELIZABETH II to the left and AUSTRALIA 2002 to the right, all in raised Latin lettering against a mirror-polished field.
