Reverse description The reverse is divided into two distinct zones. The upper half depicts a milled, uncolored arctic seascape featuring jagged icebergs and drifting ice floes rendered in raised relief against a striated field, with the numeral '1' prominently placed at the top centre and the denomination legend DOLLAR below it. The lower half bears a pad-printed polychrome vignette of a humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) swimming in deep blue polar waters, its characteristic white pectoral fin and tubercle-studded rostrum rendered in naturalistic detail, conveying both the scale and grace of the animal in its oceanic environment.
