Reverse description The reverse depicts a finely detailed, high-relief rendering of a Thylacoleo carnifex (marsupial lion), the extinct Australian megafaunal predator, shown in a dynamic forward-striding pose atop rocky terrain, with a juvenile clinging to its back. The main device is struck in silver relief against a vivid pad-printed colour background featuring a warm twilight sky in soft blues and oranges, eucalyptus foliage to the left, and ochre-toned rocky outcrops below. The legend THYLACOLEO arcs across the upper periphery within a stylised banner, flanked by two small circular motifs. The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark appears to the right of the central design, and the inscription 1oz 999 SILVER is positioned along the lower periphery.
